Centralized Learning Content Repository

Lecando LCMS has the ability to store, organize, index and search large quantities of learning objects in a centralized repository. Objects are organized in a hierarchy of folders and subfolders and a flexible model for authoring privileges provides powerful organization and version management of courses.

Learning Content Authoring and Assembly

In Lecando LCMS courses can be assembled from content created using internal or external authoring tools. The reusability of learning content is ensured through a powerful meta data system able to integrate installation specific meta data to tag all learning content stored in the repository. The Lecando LCMS allows employees to share knowledge and best practices. It also lengthens the life of proprietary best practices created by former employees.

Team Authoring Support

During the course creation process authors have support from features such as learning object history, commenting, custom meta data and edit locks. Individual learning objects can also be included in workflow status control where notifications automatically are distributed to team members when status of learning objects changes. LCMS also has features for team reviewing of a course before it is considered revised and published and made available for learners.
